Julian Spence

Julian is the founder of Run Strong Online Coaching. He is an elite marathon runner who represented Australia at the World Athletics Championships in Doha this year.

Ellie Pashley

Ellie is a marathon runner who represented Australia at the Tokyo (2020) Olympics in 2021 where she finished in 23rd place.

Matt Gunther

Matt has fallen in love with the sport of running over the past few years. He has ran 2:25 and won the 2021 Hobart Marathon, 30:28 at the 2020 Launceston 10 and has also run 14:35 over 5km.

Brad Fuller

Brad has run A LOT of marathons. He has been running for around 15 years- starting with 5k fun runs and progressing all the way up to ultramarathon events.

Ash Hoffmann

A product of the Run Strong Coaching stable, Ash has trained under Julian for much of his running career. Starting out as a guy who specialized on the trails and in the mountains.

Lachie Doak

Lachie’s love of physical activity began as a junior road cyclist, which saw him quickly progress to a competitive national level across many age groups. Lachie fell into the sport of triathlon after injuries sustained from racing.

Dave McNeill

Dave is a veteran of the sport. His running achievements are outstanding: a THREE TIME OLYMPIAN, two time Commonwealth Games representative, multiple Australian Champion at 5000m/10,000m/cross country.

Neil Scholes

Neil ran his first marathon 35 years ago and completed his first triathlon 25 years ago- he has longevity in endurance sport. Coming from a family of coaches his real passion became helping athletes reach their own goals.

Milly Cowell

Milly has always had a love for physical activity, so much so that she has been able to make her passion into a career as an Exercise Physiologist.

Narelle Frichot

Narelle started coaching over 10 years ago and has helped many runners achieve new distances and personal bests over this time. She loves sharing the running experience with her athletes.

Dave Costello

Dave is a Strength and Conditioning coach, PDHPE Teacher and an avid runner from a family of lifelong runners. His running journey started three decades ago at Little A’s.

Craig Appleby

Craig is a “runner for life” and advocates the many positives running brings to people. He has been running for 30 years, developing from the ranks of Little Athletics, to winning a collection of National Championships.

Bruce Davie

Bruce is a life-long competitive runner who has run for clubs in Australia, the U.S. and U.K. He really hit his stride as a masters runner, managing to PB in the marathon (2:46) at the age of 44.

Scott Stacey

Scott got into running after playing rugby for many years and it has developed into a true passion. He particularly enjoys thinking about how to optimise training and has applied his learnings.

Chris Hants

Chris is a journeyman athlete who has carried a lifelong love of running from sandy dirt tracks in the Surf Coast hinterland, over the rugged peaks of Central Australia.

Renee Lane

Renee has loved anything to do with sport from an early age, competing as a state level swimmer and runner. Renee was also a Victorian championship netballer and then became a professional long course triathlete.

Jess Stenson

Jess is an Australian Marathon runner, two time Olympian, two time Commonwealth Games medallist (silver in Glasgow 2014, bronze at Gold Coast 2018), and two time World Championships representative.

Craig Davis

Craig is a triathlete and runner who has been competing in endurance sport for 10 years. He is currently competing as an elite in the 2XU triathlon series in Melbourne.

Jack Maxwell

Jack fell in love with running in 2016 after competing in a local fun run. He saw first hand the benefits of individualised approaches to training when he started to improve drastically by following a structured, tailored program.

Kelli Hoffman

Kelli is a strong advocate for the Run Strong training philosophy, being coached by Julian as she found the sport and then working closely with husband and Run Strong Coach, Ashley.

David Alcock

David decided that he would target his first marathon in 2008 following nearly 10 years of living overseas in London and Canada. He struggled home in 3:31 in that first marathon and told himself never again.

Toby Menday

Toby first began running when he was 8 years old and continued to train and compete as a junior up he left the sport in 2015. Toby returned to the sport in 2019 initially to lose weight and has since fallen back in love with all things running.

Isaac Heyne

Isaac began running 10 years ago as a junior recreational runner and has since progressed to being an elite track and road runner who is prominent in the Australian running scene.

Ella Webley

After running in high school Ella had a break then returned to the sport post children as a means to help her cope with PND – and just never stopped. She’s been through first trying to run from bench to bench at the park.

Tristan Woodfine

Tristan is an elite marathon runner from deep in the Canadian wilderness, where he often runs into more wildlife than people.

Richie Johnston

Richie competes over the marathon, half marathon, 10 and 5km distances. He is coached by Ellie Pashley and has a current Marathon PB of 2:26 from Seville 2022.

Richie Egan

Richie came to running in 2017 after finishing the Melbourne Marathon in 3:36:30. Fast forward 7 years later and his dedication, passion, and consistency has been rewarded with a now 2:31:37 PB.
