Paddy did athletics and cross country at school until footy took over. After some shoulder injuries put a stop to his Aussie rules days, and his current coach Ash noticed how talented he was and recruited back to the running world. He’s been getting better and better ever since his marathon debut at New York in 2019 where he ran 2:42. His passion is on the roads where he has a 10km PB of 29:51 and a half marathon PB of 66:51. He’s aiming for a fast Gold Coast marathon this July. He also has a 14:35 5km to his name.
Paddy is a physio as well who works in private practice in Albury where he loves working with athletes, in particular runners. He applies his physio background to his coaching by aiming to keep athletes injury free, sticking to their rehab programs and trying to achieve long term consistency for optimal performance. He also is a big believer in building a strong aerobic base and using hills to work on strength and fitness. He likes working with motivated, well rounded athletes who have big long term goals.
