Richie Egan

Richie came to running in 2017 after finishing the Melbourne Marathon in 3:36:30. Fast forward 7 years later and his dedication, passion, and consistency has been rewarded with a now 2:31:37 PB at the Newcastle Marathon and a 1st place to go with it. 2 weeks earlier, he ran his half marathon PB of 70:31 on his home deck in Geelong. He recently ran 100km around an athletics track in 7:39:13 to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

He is an Army Reservist of 6+ years, a pre-service health and physical education teacher and former TRC Ballarat employee. Richie enjoys coaching athletes of all abilities. He is a very friendly and approachable coach who genuinely wants to help people improve their running. He uses a straightforward approach to training and keeping people accountable to their goals.
